“Hi, I’m Max. I’m a lovable 12-month-old labrador cross in foster care, in Warkworth.
My foster mum… she’s my guardian angel. She’s transformed my life!
I arrived at the sanctuary as a sweet wee 12-week-old pup.
I wasn’t flourishing there. I wanted to befriend my fellow canines, but I was overwhelmed and lacked confidence. 🥹
When my foster mum met me, she immediately said, “I’ll take him!”
Right from the start, I LOVED taking walks with my foster mum.
She’s been wonderful to me. She's really my number one fan! 🥰
Now, I’m ready to start the next chapter of my life. I’m looking for special humans that will commit to loving me the rest of my days.
My foster mum thinks I’d make a wonderful companion for a trail runner. 🏃‍♂️
It takes me a little while to warm up to new humans but once I trust you, I’m just the sweetest most gentle natured fella.
I’d be best in a home with older dog savvy kids. I would feel a bit too overwhelmed with noisy toddlers, I think. 🫣
If I get bored, I’ll look for my own fun and find something nearby to chew - so a home where I can keep my mind and body busy would be ideal for me.
I’m very much a social butterfly with my fellow canines – all the animals round me, really – though I’m young still, so my foster mum keeps an eye on me.
I hang out with cats, hens, ducks… and mini horses even! 🐥
I’m desexed, fully vaccinated, registered and microchipped.
